Goats for Sale:

Bucks

THE COLONEL is offered for sale this year at $400This cashmere buck comes from the Australia-New Zealand line of cashmere goats.  He is a proven sire with many robust offspring on the ground.

THE COLONEL throws his distinctive triangular head onto his kids.  Luckily, his impressive rack of horns rests atop a gentle, patient herdsire.  His kids can often be seen climbing atop his back for a joyride!

We reluctantly offer this exceptional cashemere buck for sale because his genetics now saturate our herd.  We will be breeding our foundation females to new genetics this fall.

SATAN is THE COLONELS son and carries the same deep trangular head.  We have chosen to keep this young buck intact because we like his espresso brown color and would like to see what he throws with some of our "too curly" breeding stock.  He's only 4 months old, so it's too early to judge his fleece type.  This unproven buckling is offered for sale at $300.

Does

We have a variety of does for sale priced from $125 to $200, depending on the age and fleece type.

Our does range in age from 3 years to 3 weeks.

We have a multitude of does to choose from with fleece type that range from angora type, to cashmere type, and our preferred intermediate type.

Whethers
Kids

We have both doelings and whether kids for sale.  Doelings are available for $125 and  whether kids are available for $85.  We have kids that range in age from 2 weeks to 5 months.

Ask about our kids for sale under our "Rent-a-Doe" program.  If your desire is to purchase very young kids while they are easily socialized and still VERY CUTE, we can arrange to send the babies to your home with their mom

The fiber goat herd does double duty at Casa de Arboles.  They were specifically bred to generate fine fiber with a particular degree of curl that is used to adorn the alpaca garments produced by the farm.  However, since Casa de Arboles is a farm under construction in the forested areas of the Pacific Northwest, the goats are also earning their keep doing blackberry eradication!  The characteristic of their fleece lies somewhere between mohair and cashmere and has a lovely soft curl and beautiful luster.  Most goats in our line are white, but a few are an unusual espresso-coffee brown.  Their curled fleece begins to grow in July, reaches a maximum length of about 4 inchs in February, and will shed if not sheared by March or April

Because of the mixed breeding of this particular goat line, they not only produce a wonderful softly-curled goat fleece, excellent for spinning, felting or adornments, they also make viable milk goats and meat goats.  Mixed within the genetics of this herd is Cashmere, Nubian, Angora and Pygmy.  They are medium sized, hardy, intelligent, curious, playful and gentle.
